Overview


What is the TCUV Connected Services Trials Program?


As part of the standard services and benefits offered through TCUV by Toyota, select TCUV vehicles include a 12-month Connected Services trial. Depending on the vehicle, model year, the trial may include Safety Connect and/or Remote Connect*. 


* Toyota Connected Services depend on certain factors outside of Toyota's control in order to operate, including compatible cellular network availability, a cellular connection and GPS signal. Without any one or more of these things, operability may be limited or precluded, including access to response center and emergency support. Services vary by vehicle and are subject to change at any time without notice. Select vehicles may have other capable connected services. Toyota is not responsible for cellular network discontinuance. Terms and conditions apply.


What are the benefits of the TCUV Connected Services Trials Program?


This program gives vehicle owners with eligible TCUV vehicles the chance to experience a 12-month trial of certain Connected Services varied by Multimedia generation.




Eligibility


Do all Toyota pre-owned vehicles get TCUV Connected Services trial?


The TCUV Connected Services trial is available for Toyota Certified Used Vehicles that meet the eligibility criteria. To learn more about the eligibility criteria, contact your nearest Toyota dealership. 


What options do I have if my TCUV vehicle does not meet the eligibility requirements?


For TCUV vehicles that do not meet TCUV Connected Services trial eligibility requirements, vehicle owners may purchase a Connected Services subscription via the Toyota app. Service availability varies by vehicle and trim level. For GR Supra refer to the Toyota Supra Connect app. 




Enrollment


How do I enroll for my TCUV Connected Services trials?


TCUV vehicle owners can enroll in their Connected Services trial by completing self-enrollment via the Toyota app**.

How long does it take before I can enroll for my TCUV Connected Services trials?


In most instances, TCUV vehicle owners can enroll for their TCUV Connected Services trial upon purchasing the vehicle†. However, in some cases it can take up to 4 weeks for your trial to be activated. Toyota Canada will send you an email once you can enroll to your 12-months trial of Safety Connect and/or Remote Connect (trial varies by multimedia generation). Drive Connect and Destination assist is not included in the TCUV Connected Services trial program

If your vehicle is enrolled prior to TCUV Connected Services trial activation, the vehicle will be automatically removed from your Toyota app and will need to be re-enrolled again in order to use your TCUV Connected Services trials. 


† All trials begin on the date of purchase or lease of an eligible TCUV and include at least 12 months of trial. Where an eligible TCUV has trial time remaining from the original purchase or lease of that vehicle, then the TCUV Connected Services trial for that vehicle shall be the greater of the two periods – either the remaining new vehicle trial time or 12 months. 


Why do I have less than 12 months included Connected Services trial time for some services?


In some instances, it can take up to 4 weeks for your trial to be activated and you will receive a confirmation email from Toyota Canada that your Connected Services trials are active. 

If the vehicle is enrolled in the Toyota app prior to receiving this confirmation email, you will see the remaining trials from the original vehicle purchase.   

Drive Connect and Destination assist is not included in the TCUV Connected Services trial program.


I received an email from Toyota notifying me that my services have been cancelled, what does that mean?


If the vehicle is enrolled in the Toyota app prior to receiving the activation email, Toyota will send a cancellation email to inform there was a change in your account.  Once the customer receives a confirmation email that trials are active, they can then re-enroll their vehicle to utilize their full TCUV Connected Services trials.


How do I know which Connected Services trials I have available?


After enrollment, you can view your available trials by selecting shop in your Toyota app and clicking “Manage subscription” button.

What if I don’t have the Toyota App, can I still use Connected Services trial?


 To enjoy your Connected Services, the vehicle owner must have downloaded the Toyota app, successfully enrolled and have a registered account‡.
